Cayce Moyer Creations is a one-woman show. I Graduated from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2006 with a BFA in Painting and BCA in Sequential Art. Projects include published illustrations, comic book production, canvas painting, graphic design, sculptures, and set and prop painting for live theatre and television. Originally from Miami, FL, I now reside in Asheville, NC. My work is featured at six galleries in the Western North Carolina area.
Growing up in Miami, I attended Miami Mega-Magnet schools for the arts. At one point I contemplated attending MAST academy for marine science for high school, but in the end chose to continue my art education at the notable school for the arts - Coral Reef Sr. High. The influential cultural melting pot and vibrancy of South Florida is quite evident in the explosive color palette in my paintings. Deeper ochre and umber palettes introduced themselves into my work while living in Savannah, GA. Mediterranean hues integrated further while studying abroad in Lacoste, France, and recently, the wonderfully dramatic moody blue-grays of Appalachia. Subject matter flows from traditional Landscape painting, to illustrative, to energetic pop-cultural influences.
In recent years, I have found solace and fuel in park service volunteer efforts. Working with the Appalachian Trail Conservancy, National Park Service and multiple Trail Crews, I have built hands-on skills in league with conservation strategy and wilderness first aid. In addition, I have been studying martial arts, including Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing and Brazillian Jiu Jitsu. Currently, I have three official boxing bouts under my belt.
